Why do I need to upload my passport or right to work documentation at this stage?

To legally work with The Occasionall Group, we’re required to complete Right to Work (RTW) checks in line with UK Home Office guidance. This applies to all workers, including those working casual or temporary roles.

This helps us: Confirm your identity, Ensure your legal right to work in the UK and keep our staffing process safe and compliant.

⚠️ You won’t be able to apply for jobs on the app until your RTW documentation is uploaded.

Please input your full legal name, including all middle names.

Initially, please upload your passport and carefully input the required details. Your passport should be current* or recently expired if you are awaiting a new one. *If you are a British or Irish Passport Holder, your passport does not need to be current, but it must be a true likeness for identification purposes.

Please note that the "Photo holding your passport" requires you to hold it open on the photo page to distinguish your passport from another passport.

Non-UK citizens: If you have a British Resident Permit or VISA, please upload these alongside your non-British passport. These documents will be used for identification in addition to your E-VISA (Sharecode), which serves as your Right to Work Proof.

UK or Irish citizens without a UK passport: No need to worry. We can accept your birth certificate or adoption certificate and proof of national insurance alongside photo ID.

During your video interview, you will be required to show your right to work document(s) that you have uploaded to your profile for validation (Part two of your right to work check).

If your interview is successful, you’ll need to bring the same document(s) to your first shift for an in-person check (Part three of your right to work check).

National insurance number:
Upload a copy of your NI government-issued letter. This can be any official document that includes your NI number, such as a payslip, P45/60, self-assessment, or an HMRC login screenshot.

If you do not have your national insurance number yet please upload your proof of application and input a placeholder NI following the pattern below, replacing DDMMYY with your own date of birth. NI Placeholder = AB DDMMYY C (So for example if your date of birth was the first of March 2000 you would enter AB 010300 C)

📝 Top Tip:
We often use these experience tags as search criteria when booking team members for jobs – especially smaller or more specialised events. So keeping your list accurate and up to date is essential to avoid missing out on opportunities.

You’ve done this a few times and know the basics. You’re comfortable following instructions and can handle the role with some support if needed.
Advanced / Expert
You’ve done this many times and know it inside out. You’re confident working solo, can lead or train others, and handle challenges with ease.

Please supply a minimum of one clear head shot (passport photo style) and one full length body shot.
You may also one natural, unedited or retouched head shot (non-professional) but this is not mandatory.

Top tip: we sometimes share profile cards to our clients for shortlisting - so please ensure your head shot and body shot are professional! We never submit more than 1 photo, so rest assured any additional non-professional image(s) will not be utilised for this purpose.
